Event Description: Introduction to R for Statistical Data Analysis

This workshop provides a foundational guide to using R for statistical analysis, which is ideal for beginners and data enthusiasts. Participants will start with an overview of R and RStudio, learning basic calculations data types, and methods for importing and exporting data. Real-world applications of statistics and data types (descriptive and inferential) will be discussed, along with key statistical measures like central tendency and dispersion, all within R.

The workshop will also cover frequency distributions, inferential statistics (population vs. sample), hypothesis testing methods (z, t, chi-square tests), and p-value calculations in R. Moving into data relationships, participants will explore correlation, scatter plots, and linear regression basics, progressing to building and interpreting multiple linear regression models in R. This hands-on event aims to equip attendees with essential skills in R for effective data analysis and meaningful insights.
