Talk 1: Beyond unit tests: How Agent Simulations are redefining AI Agent testing

AI agents are growing more capable but also more complex reasoning through multiple steps, using external tools, and acting with autonomy. Traditional testing methods and static evaluations often miss failures that emerge in real-world, dynamic environments. But what if we could model realistic agent‑user and tool‑interactions, stress test behavior over time, and catch defects before deployment?

In this session, Rogerio (CTO, LangWatch) demonstrates how agent simulations expose hidden failure modes, validate behavioral robustness, and support continuous regression detection. Attendees will learn hands‑on techniques to:

Rogério is the co-founder and CTO of LangWatch, a leading platform for LLM observability and AI agent testing. With over 15 years of experience in software engineering and machine learning, including his time at [Booking.com](http://booking.com/), he experienced firsthand the challenges of not knowing what comes out of your models in production. That pain became the motivation for founding LangWatch: to help teams ship GenAI features confidently.

Deepak Grewal, Staff Solutions Engineer, Kong
Deepak Grewal is a Senior Solutions Engineer at Kong, specializing in Service Mesh & API Management and working with Kong’s customers in the Benelux region. Deepak comes from a technical background with past experience working in Australia in the areas of Application Performance Monitoring (APM) & Observability, Leasing & Loan Originations as well as in the Financial Trading industry.
