Ikiru [Subtitled] - 4K Restoration

We shall watch one of my favorite Akira Kurosawa films! If you are attending our Japanese live action film discussion in September, this film would be an excellent appetizer. A summary is provided below:

"Takashi Shimura beautifully portrays Kanji Watanabe, an aging bureaucrat with stomach cancer who is impelled to find meaning in his final days."

Shimura is known for his collaborations with Kurosawa, including Rashomon and Seven Samurai.
