Calling professionals to support Iranian students 🤝

With everything happening in Iran, it’s hard to feel okay.
Not knowing how your loved ones are.
Not being able to reach them.
Feeling far, disconnected, and still trying to go on with daily life.
At the same time, many Iranian students abroad, already carrying this emotional weight, are now also navigating financial stress, limited work permissions, and complex hiring systems (like the 16-hour work limit in the Netherlands and TWV requirements for non-EU students).
Many relied on family support back home, which is no longer as stable as before , or not even possible, especially with internet shutdowns making it difficult to transfer money.
It’s a difficult position to be in.
Instead of just talking about it, I’ve been thinking about creating something practical.

I’m organizing a free in-person event in Amsterdam
where:
• Students and recent graduates can bring their CVs and get feedback 📄
• Professionals can support with CV reviews, networking, and referrals 🤝
• We can share real opportunities and insights 💡
• And simply create a space where people support each other
