(Creepy) Doll & Toy Show - Plus BRUNCH at The Leta!

Ever wondered about the doll & toy industry... or what it's like to rub elbows with die hard doll fans? Well, gather 'round and let's take a Reading Rainbow trip to a bonafide Doll & Toy Show!

11 am:
We'll start with a group brunch at The Leta (as in go-LETA), a hipster & vintage motel with a western/boho theme. Picture macramé on the wall, puka shell curtains, a steer's skull above the lobby fireplace, a silver airstream out front, and a little alcove devoted to neon signage & records.

Decided by group vote, a prize will go to the person who comes up with the best description of The Leta’s decor. Mine is “Western Boho”. Okay…. go!

AFTER BRUNCH:
Meander to the Elks Lodge to experience all the AWE and CREEP and KOOK and CUTE and NOSTALGIC and EDUCATIONAL that is - A DOLL & TOY SHOW !!

You are also welcome to skip brunch and just meet us at the Doll Show!

One of our members has a background in the doll industry and will be able to tell us great stories!

Although this definitely falls into the Kooky Zone - which is why we are going, duh! - see photos in the album to get an idea of what the event ACTUALLY looks like.... and a reminder all kooks must be respectful of the industry & doll products - no matter how creepy or culturally inappropriate.

This is just a great opportunity to meet new people, have brunch at a hipster place, and learn a bit more about this slice of Americana!
