Tanabata is one of Japan's important seasonal events, held on July 7th. It is a tradition to write wishes on strips of paper and hang them on bamboo leaves, and pray to Orihime and Hikoboshi (two stars on opposite sides of the Milky Way) to make your wishes come true.

At the Tanabata Festival, you can enjoy summer staples such as flowing somen noodles and shaved ice. The experience of catching cold somen noodles with a bamboo leaf is a unique event unique to Japan. Additionally, shaved ice topped with colorful syrups is a popular refreshing dessert perfect for the hot summer.

All events are guided in both English and Japanese, so you can participate with peace of mind without worrying about language barriers.

The event also serves as an excellent opportunity for cultural exchange, where participants can naturally engage in conversation while experiencing Japanese culture in an internationally diverse atmosphere.

🎋 Make a wish by writing Tanzaku
In honor of Tanabata, you can experience the traditional Japanese custom of writing your wishes on strips of paper and decorating them on bamboo leaves. Either Japanese or English is OK! Put your dreams and goals into words and let's decorate them together.

🎋 Flowing Noodles
Flowing noodles are a traditional summer experience in Japan, where you can enjoy a meal while feeling the cool breeze. Catch the somen noodles (thin noodles) flowing through a bamboo waterway with chopsticks and dip them in soy sauce to enjoy. It's fun to watch them flow and catch them with your eyes, making it an exciting event for adults and children.

This time, in addition to somen noodles, udon noodles, Chinese noodles, mini tomatoes, edamame, and grapes will also be flowing. Enjoy this lively experience filled with surprises and laughter.

🎋 Shaved Ice
Shaved ice is a traditional Japanese summer dessert made by finely shaving ice. The fluffy ice is topped with syrups such as strawberry or melon. Its crisp texture and coolness are its charms, making it a popular treat at summer festivals and food stalls. 七夕祭りでは、夏の風物詩である流しそうめんやかき氷をお楽しみいただけます。冷たいそうめんを竹のレーンでキャッチして食べる体験は、日本ならではのユニークなイベントです。さらに、色とりどりのシロップがかかったかき氷は、暑い夏にぴったりのひんやりスイーツとしてご好評いただいております。
すべてのイベントは英語と日本語の両方で案内されますので、言語の壁を気にせず安心してご参加いただけます。

また、交流の場としても最適で、国際色豊かな雰囲気の中、日本文化を体験しながら自然と会話が生まれるのもこのイベントの魅力です。

🎋 流しそうめん
流しそうめんは、日本の夏の風物詩で、涼を感じながら食事を楽しむ伝統的な体験です。竹の水路を流れるそうめん（細い麺）を箸でキャッチして、めんつゆにつけて味わいます。目で追いながらすくう楽しさがあり、大人も子どもも盛り上がるイベントです。

今回はそうめんだけでなく、うどんや中華麺、さらにはミニトマト、枝豆、ブドウなども流れる予定です。ちょっとした驚きや笑いもある、にぎやかな体験をぜひお楽しみください。

🎋 かき氷
かき氷は、氷を細かく削って作る、日本の夏の伝統的なスイーツです。ふわふわの氷に、いちごやメロンなどのシロップをかけて楽しみます。シャリっとした食感と冷たさが魅力で、夏祭りや屋台でも人気。子どもから大人まで親しまれている、暑い夏にぴったりの涼しいデザートです。
