Korean Study with Tutor (Sat 3rd Oct)

This week, we will be joined by our amazing tutor Yuni (12:30 to 2:30pm)!

“Hi! My name is Yuni. I recently finished my PhD in Korean Studies, where I focused on contemporary Korean history. I'm also a certified Korean language instructor, so I hope I can help you not only with the Korean language, but also with Korean culture and history. Let’s have fun learning together!”

It is £10 for a 2-hour session. All money goes to the tutor.

Please bring a way to view the study materials, pens, paper, etc.

Please mark as attending and make your payment before arriving. If we have a lot of members, I will invite more tutors. If it says the event is full, please still join us, and we will make more space.

If you cannot pay, you are still welcome to join and study beside paying attendees.

This session is not recommended for beginners.

We're a small, friendly Korean study group meeting in cafes around Central London. Sessions are run by native or fluent Korean-speaking tutors and are conducted mostly in Korean, so it's a great way to build real confidence in reading, writing, and speaking.

We meet on average every two weeks on Saturdays, from 12:00 to 3:00.

Absolute beginners aren't recommended, everyone should already know at least basic grammar and vocabulary before joining.
Learning materials are provided during sessions, so there's no need to prepare anything in advance, though you're also welcome to bring your own resources if you'd like extra help with something specific.

Some members are learning for fun, some are studying for personal reasons (such as having a Korean partner), and some are also preparing for the TOPIK exam in May, we'll offer more exam-focused sessions as that gets closer.

There's a £10 fee per session, which goes entirely to the tutors, we don't take any cut. If a tutor is unable to make it, the fee will be refunded.

Beyond the lessons themselves, we like to socialise too, think Korean-related events, dinners, and karaoke. It's a relaxed way to make friends, practise your Korean, and pick up some English along the way if you fancy it.
