Korean Waves: Language Series: English and Korean study group & workshop

Join us! We'll get together and study, meet potential language exchange partners, and have a great time. Korean speakers and English speakers and people who speak both languages! Our new location is super close to the metro, and has great food, atmosphere, coffee, drinks, etc. (Check out the photos below).

We will have our usual social group/discussion, and (new!) also help some people match up to have individual one-on-one and small group language exchange/coaching sessions for 20-30 minutes (can be more than one session).

We will also have a new "practice workshop" option, for the people who want to practice situations and learn proper responses. It will be in English (and Korean when it is translated). Practice job interviews, responding to questions, and other activities, so that you can "feel like a native speaker" more easily.

We'll try to improve the learning process: How do we learn a language as adults? What is the latest information on how to learn:

* Fast
* Easily
* Comfortably
* Without headaches! smile

Babo opsoyo! You don't get dumb if you keep using your brain! So let's get together and help each other.

The nearest metro station is Clarendon (Orange line) - the restaurant is 1/2 block from the station. There is parking in the nearby streets.

Standard Details: There is no cost to attend. We welcome first-time attendees! You can arrive late - its okay. The dress code is casual (but suits and dresses are fine, too!). We will post photos and notes after the event.
Preparation: Just bring yourself, and your passion to learn.

    Nice group - with even more language exchange! Some of us were there past 6pm, swapping language tips and stuff like that.

    I've just uploaded a pdf with idioms, conversation ideas, hangul & English alphabet that people can print out for today's meetup: http://files.meetup.com/356526/KoreanWaves-LanguageExchange-201010.pdf

    Paul: Can I get your cell number in case I can't find you guys? Also, don't you also head up the Digital Video Meetup group as well? You look familiar.

    The event usually lasts about 2 hours. It's okay to arrive late... even an hour late. We'll be easy to find inside, and they know we are coming.
