About us
What is korfball?
A team sport with similarities to basketball and netball. Men and women compete on the same team with the ultimate aim being to score by throwing the ball through the 'korf' (a tall, yellow basket).
Edinburgh Mavericks pride ourselves on being a fun and welcoming club, all ages/experience/fitness levels are welcome!
Who can play?
Anyone - we always welcome new players to our training sessions. And in our "Try Korfball" sessions we aim to introduce beginners to the sport and learn more about korfball and our club.
Where do you play?
On Mondays from 8.30-10pm we are based at the Oriam, Heriot Watt University Campus, EH14 4AS.
On Wednesdays 7-8.30pm we are based at Edinburgh Academy Junior School, EH3 5PL. We have a social pub trip after this session!
Our Summer outdoor sessions on Thursdays 7-8.15pm take place in the Meadows.
