Mount Tsukuba (筑波山, Tsukuba-san) is a twin-peaked mountain located in Ibaraki Prefecture, and is a popular destination for hikers of all levels, especially those looking for a relatively easy and accessible day trip from Tokyo.
【Walking Course】
(We take the cable car to go up)
top station → Mt.Nantai → 自然研究路( Nature Observation Trail)→ Miyukigahara → Mt.Nyotai → Tsutsuji-gaoka
(When discend, we walk down)
●Let's meet at the ticket gate of Tsukuba Station at 8:15. Please make sure to be on time.
For those coming from Tokyo, please take the Tsukuba Express train from Akihabara Station departing at 7:30. You should arrive at Tsukuba at 8:15.
●Difficulty level: ★★☆☆☆ Easy to intermediate exercise. We will be walking at a slow pace.
●Please remember to bring your own lunch, as we will be having it on the mountain.
●Normal mountain outfits and gear are acceptable. While specialized gear is not required, we recommend wearing hiking boots for foot protection.
●From Tsukuba Station, we will transfer to bus terminal 1 for Tsutsujigaoka (740 yen). The departure time is 8:30, and we will get off at the Tsukubasan-jinja bus stop.
●In case of rain, the event will be postponed to the following day, July 27th (Sunday).
●This is a smoke-free event.
●The participation fee is 500 yen.
