2 expert speakers are going to deliver exciting talks from the realm of analytics that you should not miss.

1️⃣ TACKLING THE 80%
Speaker: Rastislav Zdechovan, Senior Analytics Engineer, Infinite Lambda

“Data scientists spend 80% of their time cleaning data rather than creating insights.” Most insights creating engineers have heard this quote or a variation of it at some point of their career. While this is true (mostly) in systems of organisations where little to no data modelling concepts are in place, we will be having a look at what a good data platform strategy looks like.

Rastislav will walk you through:
— What data modelling is and if it is still relevant today;
— Traditional data warehouse standards;
— New trends.

2️⃣ WELCOME TO THE MODERN DATA STACK
Speaker: Tomáš Janotík, Senior Analytics Engineer

This follow-up presentation will focus on the latest trends in the field of data warehousing and data modelling. Tomas will introduce the so-called modern data stack and explore how it can provide a solid foundation for applying data science to business data.

We will discuss how technologies and tools have evolved recently and what this means for modern data teams and the work they are typically doing.

Tomas will also focus on:
— How the profile of people working with data has been changing in response to recent technological advances;
— What analytics engineering is;
— How to implement the modern data stack together with state-of-the-art data science tools successfully.
