Kotlin - September Edition

Details
Hello fellow Kotliners!
We happily announce the next episode of our meetup! We will check in this month @SumUp!
Line-Up:
First Talk:
A Tale of Two Stacks: Spring Boot & Kotlin / Node.js & TypeScript
by Christof Vollrath
With Kotlin & Spring or TypeScript & node.js, you can choose between two modern and powerful technology stacks. We were able to gather extensive experience with both and would like to share our findings.
This will be exciting for anyone who has always wanted to know which is the better stack!
To make the comparison, we will be looking at the history, main features, and future perspectives.
Important criteria are performance, type system, and parallelism.
In the process, we found one or two exciting surprises.
Second Talk:
Domain architecture evolution
by Olga Casian
In this talk, I'll share a story of how one of the domains in SumUp evolved during the past 3 years and how we see it in the future. It will be about the challenges that we faced and how they were overcome to meet different functional and non-functional requirements. I hope that this talk will inspire you to consider some of the recipes for your everyday puzzles.
Third Talk:
To Detekt 2.0, and beyond!
by Nicola Corti
Do you know Detekt? We are a static analyzer for Kotlin.
Our mission: spot bugs, antipatterns, and potential errors in your Kotlin code.
Detekt is helping millions of Kotlin developers around the globe to spot bugs before they reach production. What took us here is a vibrant community of users & contributors that are helping us build this ecosystem of tools.
Today, you can easily extend Detekt with your own rules and integrate it with Gradle, Maven, Bazel, IntelliJ, Github, SonarQube, and much more.
Curious to hear about some of the future we've been working on? Join us in this session as we walk through the current status of Detekt, and give you updates on what's lined up for 2.0!
