Kotlin Budapest Meetup - October

Details

Save the date for an exciting Kotlin Budapest Meetup, stay tuned for details!

Our speakers:

Márton Braun, Android Developer Relations Engineer @ Google
Composing an API with Kotlin
Kotlin offers many powerful language features to API authors. We’ll explore how Jetpack Compose’s syntax builds on these features, and how its APIs were shaped by Kotlin idioms and conventions. These ideas and best practices give you a deeper understanding of the language, and they are valuable for any Kotlin developer designing APIs (which is actually every Kotlin developer!).

Csaba Kozák, Lead Android Developer @ Supercharge
Kotlin Symbol Processing: a smoother way of generating code
Code generation is widely used by Kotlin libraries, especially on Android. However, the toolchain (annotation processing) was inherited from Java, bringing many limitations. Kotlin Symbol Processing provides a native way of generating code for Kotlin. In my talk, I'm going to introduce to you how to use, and even develop libraries utilizing this technology.

István Juhos, Senior Android Engineer @ TIER
DroidKaigi 2022 Travelogue
This July, I've decided to propose a talk to a conference called DroidKaigi 2022, held in Tokyo, Japan. Not too long afterwards, I received an email that the talk was in, marking the start of an awesome overseas adventure.
In this talk, I'll share my experiences gained in Tokyo during DroidKaigi.

General info:

  • Videos of the event will be uploaded to our Kotlin Budapest YouTube channel after the event
  • All talks will be in English as usual
  • Doors open at 6.00 pm, and we'll start the talks at 6:30 pm. After the talks, we can stay to chat.

P.S.:
We are looking for more teams/people to share their experience around Kotlin, so if you would like to speak at the next event, please contact us.
