Migrating an Existing Java Codebase to KotlinDamjan GjurovskiThis talk will focus on incompatibility between Java and Kotlin, and replacing Java as the main programming language in an existing, actively developed project. It will cover the development of new features, which need to work with the Java "legacy" codebase, as well as refactoring the codebase to Kotlin. While most of the refactoring and conversion can be done using IDE tools, some common pitfalls will be presented and discussed.

Kotlin Under the HoodChristoph LeiterHave you ever wondered how exactly Kotlin works under the hood? In this talk we discuss the general compilation process and have a look at how specific Kotlin features are implemented. We will inspect the byte code generated by Kotlin and convert it to Java to get an easy understanding of how it works internally.
