Kotlin Beginners Night @ CodeFactory

Details

What is Kotlin?
It’s back to School time, so we’d like to give all the Kotlin newcomers a chance to get a taste of Kotlin. You will hear the basics of the Kotlin programming language in an introductory talk, no Kotlin experience is required, Java is highly recommended, or at least some other general-purpose object-oriented language (C#, JavaScript, Scala, Ruby, ...)
Together we will go through some simple coding examples, so-called Koans, to get a feeling of the language.

Igniting your Android Journey: Exploring the realm of Mobile Development
In today's digital age, mobile applications play a pivotal role in connecting people, businesses, and ideas. The talk is designed as a beacon for both beginners and intermediate developers looking to dive into the world of Android development. We will start with an introduction to Android development's origin, significance, and potential for the future. As we dive deeper, attendees will be acquainted with essential tools, languages, and best practices for successful mobile apps. Among these tools, we will also introduce 'Kotlin Multiplatform', an emerging toolset that allows developers to craft cross-platform applications using a single codebase, making it a game-changer in the mobile development scene. At the end of the talk, we will have a small demo on how mobile development both for Android and iOS works with Kotlin Multiplatform. Our goal is to ensure that every participant, whether a novice or a seasoned developer, walks away with the urge to kickstart their mobile development journey into the realm of mobile development.

Sildes will be available here.
