Let's solve some real world pains using things usually reserved for the functional unicorns like Haskell and other languages you only used in that one course you had to take at university. I will show you my favourite features of Arrow, possibly get you to laugh and potentially end up with a web shop for drop shipping Arrow merch becoming insanely rich - or not, we'll find out together 🤑

Image Processing Done Wrong
In this talk I will showcase a toy project for image processing in Kotlin, explain image processing basics and talk about how hobby projects can be a good place to learn, experiment and have fun with coding without production-level requirements.

About the Speaker
Raphael Tarita: I'm a Vienna-based fullstack software engineer mostly working with Kotlin, Java and TypeScript @ Lean-Coders GmbH. Also, I'm currently working on completing my bachelor's degree in computer science at the University of Vienna. In addition to my professional experience and education, I invest a lot of my time into hobby coding and learning new languages or tools. My passion lies with Kotlin, language design, and having fun with code!
