About us
Welcome to KoZa Trails, your passport to hiking adventures!
From local hikes to international trips, I'll handle the planning so you can just enjoy the adventure.
About me
I'm an experienced hike leader with 10 years of organising and guiding adventures across the UK and abroad. As a qualified outdoor first aider, safety is always my top priority, ensuring everyone has an unforgettable experience.
My love for nature was born in a small village in the Bulgarian mountains, where I spent my childhood exploring goat paths and falling in love with the outdoors. This is where the name KoZa comes fromāBulgarian for "goat."
Moving to England allowed me to explore the world differently. I discovered hiking, which transformed my life. Through hiking, I met amazing people and experienced the world in a new way. Now, I'm passionate about sharing this with othersāwhether it's travelling, meeting new people, or uncovering hidden gems in the great outdoors. I find joy in helping others conquer challenges and in taking the stress out of planning, so everyone can enjoy the journey.
Why I started this group
I created this group because I know how hard it can be to plan a hiking holiday on your own. Many people miss out on amazing experiences because they're not confident hiking alone, don't have the time to organise everything, or just don't know where to start. That's where I come in! I love planning trips and taking care of all the logistics, so you can just show up and have a great time.
What to expect on my trips
- Expertly Planned Trips: Carefully researched itineraries that blend popular spots and hidden gems.
- Small-Group Adventures: I aim to create trips that feel like exploring with friends. We focus on relaxing days outāhiking, enjoying nature, and visiting interesting places without feeling rushed.
- Supportive Atmosphere: A friendly environment for hikers of all levels, where you can make new friends and create lasting memories.
- Personal Challenges: Opportunities to push your limits and achieve personal goals.
- Safety First: Safety-first approach with a qualified first aider (me!) always on hand
Whether you're a seasoned hiker or new to the trails, KoZa Trails offers something for everyone. I'm also happy to create customised trips for groups of friends or colleaguesālet's make your dream hiking holiday a reality!
Join me, and let the trails lead you to unforgettable adventures. Together, we'll explore breathtaking landscapes, push our limits, and create stories to last a lifetime. Welcome to the KoZa Trails family!

Come and join us on a new trip to Glastonbury, possibly the quirkiest town in England, and home to the famous Glastonbury Music Festival! This city is at fascinating crossroads of various religions and spiritualities, from Christianity and paganism, to Druidism and witchcraft, and is unusually rich in legends and mythology. Glastonbury Tor, which we're going to climb, took centre stage in the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games, celebrating the āidyllic, mythical Englandā.
Our 4-mile route will follow the Glastonbury Way around the town and its beautiful landscape, taking in the most significant places. Weāll also visit the beautiful White Spring temple at the base of Glastonbury Tor (free entry). Candle-lit and atmospheric, it is a unique and sacred space long cherished by pilgrims and local people, and commonly used for quiet reflection, ceremonies and meditation. Opposite the White Spring are the peaceful, sunlit gardens of Chalice Well and the Red Spring, which youāre also welcome to visit for a small entry fee.
After the hike, youāll have free time to explore Glastonburyās weird and wonderful shops. This is the perfect place to browse for crystals (and learn about their healing properties), tarot cards, jewellery, lotions and potions, incense, herbs ā and even wizard hats and magic wands! šš®šThe town is also home to more than 50 spectacular pieces of street art, with colourful murals decorating the city centre and adding to Glastonburyās vibrant, creative atmosphere.
This trip is suitable for BEGINNERS ā a great way to experience hiking before joining our more difficult trips! š¤©
LEGENDS OF GLASTONBURY
There are many legends surrounding Glastonbury. Below are the most famous ones.
Jesus and Joseph of Arimathea
Jesus is said to have come to Glastonbury as a boy, travelling here with his uncle, Joseph of Arimathea. Joseph was a tin merchant and had travelled to England's south west for this valuable metal. After the crucifixion of Jesus, Joseph travelled to Britain with the Holy Grail (the cup used by Jesus at the Last Supper), which he buried under Glastonbury Tor.
The Holy Thorn
Joseph is said to have arrived in Glastonbury by boat over the flooded Somerset Levels. On arriving, he climbed up Wearyall Hill (a 15-minute walk from Glastonbury centre). Exhausted, he thrust his staff into the ground and rested. By morning his staff had taken root and grown into a miraculous thorn tree, known as the Holy Thorn. A flowering sprig of the Holy Thorn is cut every year and presented to the monarch, where it resides on his Christmas Day breakfast table.
The Isle of Avalon and King Arthur
For many people, Glastonbury represents the Isle of Avalon, the mythical island of Celtic tradition, believed to be a gateway to the underworld. Glastonbury is said to be the final resting place of the legendary King Arthur.

Weāre off to Norfolk! The seals in Norfolk are truly one of Britain's most special sights. Without any doubt, they're an incredible WOW factor and one that you must see!
On this day hike, we'll walk along the top of the sand dunes and enjoy stunning panoramic views across the North Sea. On our way, we'll pass the much-loved grey seal colony at Horsey Beach, which draws thousands of visitors each year, particularly between November and March, when the seals come ashore to breed. There are literally hundreds and hundreds of seals and their pups stretching for as far as the eye can see!
The whole walk is in the Broads National Park ā one of fifteen national parks in the UK. You'll discover its iconic windmills, navigable waterways and broads (man-made, shallow lakes). With over 125 miles of lock-free waterways, the Norfolk Broads have more miles of waterway than Venice or Amsterdam, and are an extremely popular boating holiday destination! Locals like to call the Broads āthe Venice of the Eastā.
šŖ This walk is suitable for all abilities ā it is almost entirely flat and done at a very gentle pace to allow us enjoy the nature and take plenty of pictures.
HIKE HIGHLIGHTS- Watch seals and their young from a close distance at Horsey Gap, home to one of the biggest colonies of grey seals in Britain.
- Take a gentle stroll over the vast open expanse of the golden sand dunes of Winterton Beach ā a Nature Reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest. The area is a veritable haven for birds and all kinds of wildlife and is widely regarded as having the best sand dunes in Norfolk.
- See the spectacular Horsey Windpump ā the youngest and largest windpump in the Norfolk Broads. It was built in 1912 to pump water out from the surrounding land so that it could be used for farming.
- Discover Horsey Mere, often regarded as one of the most beautiful of the northern broads and famous for its internationally important wildlife.
- Walk the newly opened stretch of the England Coast Path ā a new National Trail around all of England's coast, which once completed will be the longest coastal walking route in the world (4,500 kilometres in length!).
