Flavours of Eritrea and Ethiopia: Evening of Togetherness and Culinary Adventure

Details

I am excited to announce our next group dinner—a culinary adventure into the heart of Eritrea at Mosob restaurant!
https://www.mosob.com/about

Although I’ve never tried Eritrean cuisine myself, Mosob comes highly recommended by a lovely girl from one of my hikes, and I’ve always been curious to experience this unique way of eating and the delicious flavours it promises. Renowned for its authentic Eritrean and Ethiopian dishes, Mosob offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere that truly celebrates the spirit of sharing and togetherness.

Central to Eritrean and Ethiopian dining is the tradition of gathering around large platters of richly spiced stews, lentils, and vegetables, all served atop injera—a soft, tangy flatbread made from teff flour. What sets this experience apart is the custom of eating with your hands, using pieces of injera to scoop up the vibrant dishes. This tactile, communal way of dining is not only fun and interactive, but also deeply rooted in the culture’s emphasis on connection and trust. Of course, if you’d prefer to use cutlery, that’s absolutely fine—everyone is welcome to enjoy the meal in their own way.

You can look forward to a menu brimming with bold, aromatic dishes. Traditional favourites such as doro wot (spicy chicken stew), shiro (creamy chickpea stew), and other vibrant specialities showcase the unique spices and culinary heritage of the region. Mosob also offers innovative new dishes, ensuring there’s something for everyone—whether you’re a meat lover or a vegetarian.

🗓 Date: July 18th
🕗 Time: 18:30
📍 Location: Mosob Restaurant, 339 Harrow Road, W9 3RB

I’m really looking forward to exploring this new cuisine with all of you, and to sharing an evening filled with great food, culture, and conversation. Whether you’re a seasoned foodie or simply curious, Mosob promises a wonderful opportunity to discover something truly different and memorable.
