Short notice, but opportunities like this do not come around every day 馃檪

This Wednesday at 18:00, we are inviting you to the VirtusLab office at Szlak 49 for a Kotlin Krak贸w User Group meetup with a special guest: Wout Werkman from JetBrains, who will only be in Krak贸w briefly and kindly agreed to also join our community.

Talk title:
How Java is Finally Fixing Concurrency (almost)
Java has created multiple abstractions that have made concurrency more attractive. Starting with executor pools and `Future`s to make concurrency cheaper. And nowadays even virtual threads to make blocking cheaper.

However, the complexity of concurrency is still there. And that鈥檚 for the stay right?

Yes, and no! That鈥檚 where structured concurrency comes in!
In this talk we learn how structured concurrency is another step in limiting the complexity of concurrency using a custom built visual debugger. After this, we talk about what is still missing, and what you, as the Java community, can do to help.

If you are interested in modern Java, concurrency, and the direction the ecosystem is heading, this is definitely a session worth joining.
