Scala Meetup after Lambda Days

Details
Another awesome Scala meetup is coming your way! Mark your calendars! Our special meetup is happening on 13th June at the VistusLab office (ul. Szlak 49) at 06:00 PM.
Speakers:
🎤 Martin Odersky, the creator of Scala, as one of our featured speakers for the evening. It’s not every day we get a chance to hear directly from the mind behind the language we use and love. Martin is widely recognized for his contributions to programming languages, including his work on Java generics and the javac compiler. He will deliver a surprise talk.
🎤 Zainab Ali – a functional programming enthusiast and educator, currently working on aquascape—a cool interactive doc project for fs2. Zainab is a functional polyglot and educator. As well as all things functional, she's interested in the art of writing good technical documentation. In her talk “Your Docs Are a Program” Zainab explores documentation as a first-class part of development. She’ll share her work on aquascape, an interactive doc project for FS2, and discuss how treating documentation like code can improve structure, workflow, and tooling—drawing on examples from Scala, Racket, and Elixir.
🎤 Nicolas Rinaudo – writes code for JPMorgan, where he use Scala to make some very complicated things seem very simple. After too many years as a Java programmer and a thankfully brief stint in marketing, Nicolas discovered Functional Programming through Scala and fell in love. Since then, he's made it his mission to learn and explain the scary bits, by focusing on practical applications."I've been playing with Capture Checking and will show you what I've learned" - Direct style programming is all the rage these days, so I decided to learn a little about it. One of the aspects that keeps coming up is "of course, we'll need capture checking for it to actually work", with no further explanation. I hate not understanding things, so decided to go through whatever documentation was available to get a better idea of what Capture Checking is. Tonight, I'll attempt to live-code an explanation of what I understood. It should be helpful but also, given how bad I am at live coding, it's almost guaranteed to be hilariously embarassing.
Whether you’re working with Scala professionally or exploring its ecosystem, this meetup offers a chance to hear from experienced voices and connect with fellow developers. We look forward to seeing you there!
