What is the nature of our relationship with the Supreme?

Can we force someone to love us, against their will? Practical examples from our own lives tells us that this isn't possible. The same holds true with our relationship with the Supreme, Krishna. Although He is ever welcoming us back into a harmonious, loving, eternal relationship, He doesn't force us. We need to come of our own accord. He allows us our free will. Our relationship with Him is eternal, but, due to forgetfulness, we have neglected Him in various ways.
