The Power of Reason (Buddhi)
Details
Every day we make decisions in our lives as to how we can best navigate this world. Our minds may tell us we like or dislike a particular situation and if we only use this criterion, we may not always achieve the best results. Better outcomes are reached when we apply our intelligence, overriding the fickle mind. In Bhagavad Gita, the word buddhi indicates intelligence, reason, or judgment. It is the power to discern what to do and what not to do, in pursuit of our rational self-interest. Bhagavad Gita teaches that this power of reason or discrimination is necessary and needs to be properly applied in our pursuits of spiritual understanding.
Join us for an evening of friendship and discussion on the teachings of Bhagavad Gita and how they can be practically applied in our fast-paced world.
