Hello dear members,

We will hike at Griffith Park to Royce's Canyon then onward to Mt Chapel and Cathy's Corner. We will meditate halfway through hike and return for brunch.

All levels welcomed.

Optional: welcome to join Yoga and meditation session (630am-730am) as noted in details below.

As always bring Hiking shoes, 2 liters water and other necessary items listed below; and please read below in its entirety.

Every Sunday we will hike with "Awareness"... i.e. where we enjoy being in Mother Nature, mostly in silence 🔕. We will pause halfway thru hike to Meditate and after hike enjoy a healthy Brunch at a local cafe should time permit.

Starting Time:
We will start at 8am... if your running late please text or call us by 730am and we will only wait for 5 to 10 minutes max to respect everyone's time. Note if you call after 730am we may already be on the mountain and not have reception.

We will hike a variety of trails in the local parks around Glendale. Generally we will keep within a 30 minutes drive from Glendale.

The hikes may include any of the following: Angeles National Forest, Griffith Park, Verdugo Mountain (Library Brand Park), Malibu Creek State Park. Topanga State Park, etc In summer we will tend to select shaded trails and in winter it may vary with more sun. Also, we will try to keep hikes within an easy to moderate route and around 3 hours hiking time.

Also, welcome to join us for carpool and/or Yoga, pranayam, and meditation at 630am to 730am at:

Ashwin College of Ayurveda Yoga and Vedic Sciences located at 111 S Kenwood St., Glendale CA 91205.... if you would like to carpool meet at 730am.

Many of our members enjoy Yoga and learning about Vedic Sciences. Many times we have short conversations about such topics and/or enjoy a few minutes of meditation or contemplation halfway through hike.

For Hike Bring: HIKING shoes /boots, (no tennis shoes or running shoes etc) minimum 2 liters of water, a snack, sunscreen/protection, electrolyte mix/drink, sunglasses, etc...
