One Track, One Reason

This is a relaxed, social evening for people who enjoy classical music, jazz, or both. Nothing heavy, nothing academic.

It'll be held in my home in Bangsar, limited to a maximumn of 10.

Each person is invited to bring, in their mind, one piece or track that matters to them and to say a little about why they chose it.

There’s no need to be an expert. You might pick something that first got you into the music, something you always come back to, or just a track you love and want to share. The fun is in hearing how different people connect with music in different ways.

We’ll play each choice via my YouTube subscription connected to the hi-fi. We won’t necessarily play whole tracks, but we’ll get a good flavour of each one and a feel for everyone’s tastes, with plenty of time for relaxed chat in between.

The evening runs for around two hours in a small group (maximum ten people). The aim is simple: good music, interesting stories, and an enjoyable, easygoing evening.
