This session will focus on how AI is changing the way WordPress websites are designed and built. We will explore how AI can help generate an initial design, why AI-generated websites often look similar, and how design systems and human direction can produce more distinctive and effective results.

The goal is to share practical, experience-based knowledge in a simple and approachable way.

WordPress Design in the Age of AI
WordPress design is moving away from relying entirely on page builders and pre-made templates. AI can now generate a first design draft, but when left on its own, it often produces the same generic look for everyone.

In this session, Nathan Onn will explain how to move beyond AI’s default visual style by using a design system to create more consistent, distinctive, and purposeful WordPress websites.

He will also share three practical ways to turn an AI-assisted design into a working WordPress site.

Nathan Onn
Nathan Onn is a Malaysian solopreneur and web developer with over a decade of experience building WordPress plugins, internal tools, and business systems for clients. Today he focuses on AI-assisted development workflows — using AI agents and tools like Claude Code daily to ship client projects, and documenting every workflow in his weekly newsletter, The Art of Vibe Coding.
