Welcome to our January meetup hosted by yle.dev!
Yle will provide us with a special venue (TV Studio) so you don’t want to miss it!
Our planned schedule is the following:
16:40 - 17:00: Gathering and familiarizing with the studio
17:00 - 17:20: Organizers - Welcome and practicalities.
17:20 - 17:50: Jarno Virtanen @ yle.dev - Yle’s Kubernetes journey is two-fold: it’s already yielding benefits in production, but it’s also currently being adopted more widely. In this talk I will explain the background and rationale for why and how we are migrating to Kubernetes and what, if anything, have we learned during the journey
17:50 - 18:20: Juan Antonio Osorio (Oz) @ Stacklok - Fortify and Forget: Minder’s Approach to Simplifying Supply Chain Security: Minder is an open-source project that aims to automate security hardening of multiple areas of your supply chain. Today, it receives events for repositories and containers, and is able to react to them, evaluating the current state, issuing alerts if it finds issues, and even auto-fixing issues in some cases. We’re excited to talk about Minder to you all: The reasoning behind it, use-cases, and its future. We’ll even present a demo!
18:20 - 18:40: Break, snacks softdrinks and socializing
18:40 - 19:10: Lucas Käldström @ Luxas labs - Beyond RBAC: Implementing Relation-based Access Control for Kubernetes with OpenFGA

The event will be live-streamed and the link to the stream will be provided later. Snacks & non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.

Signing up for the event gets you a seat at the onsite event.

Don't forget we have a Swag table!
You can bring your company's or favorite project's swag there for exchange within the group ;)
We also plan to livestream the event to the Cloud Native Nordics YouTube channel.
Please notice that unfortunately the venue will not be accessible by mobility equipment.
