In our fashionable and hipster world, almost everyone works with Go and NodeJS micro-services on the Kubernetes platform. But what if you are one of the millions who have a fantastic PHP monolith? This story is about my falls and successes during such migration from CI/CD prospective.

Kubernetes is a scaring mechanism, composed of dozens of lego bricks. Apart from the core components you need to deploy and manage the infrastructure components like operators, ingress controllers, unified cluster-wide monitoring, logging, tracing solutions, secret management etc. We'd like to tell you the story of how we managed to get through a really long way of the manual add-ons deployments and updates, hell of handmade in-house scripting and eventually finding an almost perfect tool, which looks as if the creators took it out directly from our heads.
