Autumn Kubernetes gathering
Details
London Kubernauts,
The time of our next get-together is upon us! Get your Kubernetes captain hats on and point your container ships to the Code Node!
We have two excellent speakers ready for you who will give even more excellent talks! We shall meet at the very well located (at least for some of you) Skills Matter Code Node on Wed 19th October.
!! It's important that you register at Skills Matter !! Go to the the following link (https://skillsmatter.com/meetups/8506-kubernetes-london-meetup).
We will start the evening with a talk by Oliver Beattie (https://twitter.com/obeattie), Head of engineering at the new digital bank Monzo (https://monzo.com/) . Oli will talk about how Monzo are building a micro-services core banking platform, and how Kubernetes enables it. Monzo is a new kind of bank – unshackled from beastly, complex legacy systems – one that belongs in the 21st century, and one with the best technology in the world.
We will follow with our very own -- drum rolls placeholder -- Peter Idah (https://twitter.com/peteridah)! Peter will talk about Kubernetes integration with Stackstorm (https://stackstorm.com/) at Pearson. Kubernetes 3rd Party resources makes it easy to extend the kubernetes API. Peter will discuss how to leverage Stackstorm to integrate with a variety of external tools with Kubernetes
As always we will have pizza and drinks provided by the ever so awesome Apprenda (https://apprenda.com/) who are very active in the Kubernetes community! If your organization is interested in deploying and operating Kubernetes do check their Kubernetes support offering (https://apprenda.com/kubernetes-support/). Lastly, don't forget to sign up for the Kube Weekly (https://kubeweekly.com/) newsletter which is run by the Apprenda team!

We have one more announcement! As the Kubernetes London Meetup has grown over the past year like crazy, it has been keeping us very busy - more that we could possibly anticipate. We reached a point where we needed another pair of helping hands, ideally from someone from Kubernetes community and we could not be happier to announce that the one and only Ivan Pedrazas (https://twitter.com/ipedrazas) has joined the Kubernetes London organizers team! Ivan doesn't need much introduction, but will [re-]introduce himself at the next Meetup! applause placeholder here
Finally, we saved the best announcement for the end -- we will have another Kubernetes quiz packed with questions [not only] about the latest Kubernetes release. So bring your phones, cos this time we will have some prices to give away too!
We can't wait to see you all!
Milos & Peter
