Details
Welcome to the Nuremberg CNCF Meetup!
We are very excited to welcome you back on 01.12.2022 at 18:00!
It's time for another meetup. This time it's all about the layer under Kubernetes and containers, the Operating System.
Note, we are back in the CoWorking Space in Nürnberg.
Topics & speakers:
Moritz Eckert - Software Engineer at edgelesssys:
- Constellation - The first always encrypted Kubernetes
Constellation is an open-source K8s distro/engine that applies the confidential-computing concept to entire K8s clusters. Constellation ensures that all data in the cluster is always encrypted-at rest, in transit, and at runtime. Constellation also provides hardware-rooted "whole cluster" attestation with which the integrity of a cluster can be verified remotely.
Oz Tiram - Software Engineer at Spectro Cloud:
- Kairos - Distribution agnostic immutable OS for the Edge
Kairos brings the ideas of NixOS with simple Dockerfile. With Kairos you can build immutable, bootable Kubernetes and OS images for your edge devices as easily as writing a Dockerfile. Optional P2P mesh with distributed ledger automates node bootstrapping and coordination. Updating nodes is as easy as CI/CD: push a new image to your container registry and let secure, risk-free A/B atomic upgrades do the rest.
Food & Drink Sponsor: Spectro Cloud
We assume that all participants respect the CNCF Code of Conduct:
