Kult Comedy - Alina Sharipova's New Jokes

Alina Sharipova is an Amsterdam-based comedian with an immigrant background, who seamlessly combines her post-Soviet roots from Uzbekistan with her Western upbringing in Belgium. She’s currently working on not needing validation from the audience, trying to figure out how she feels about the world and daring to show the human ugliness. She’s also trying to embrace the unknown in her comedy. Most importantly, she’s trying to create an interesting evening where it’s all about what happens between her and the crowd. There will be laughs, there might be unease, there will definitely be confusion and a little bit of pushback from all parties involved. Comedy come!

Previously, in her debut stand-up comedy show, That Funny Feeling, Alina fearlessly delves into the complexities of her immigrant upbringing, wrestles with her self-esteem, and recounts her experiences in a relationship with a Dutch man.

She has also crafted a unique crowd work show called Let's Talk, which skillfully blurs the boundaries between comedy, improvisation, and therapy, creating an interactive and transformative experience for her audience.

In 2022, she was recognized as One to Watch by Funny Women, solidifying her status as a promising talent. Alina's talent have even caught the attention of renowned comedians such as Taylor Tomlinson, Nate Bargatze, Ari Shaffir, TJ Miller, and Jared Freid, who have honored her by inviting her to open for their shows in venues such as the Oude Luxor in Rotterdam.
