DATES: 15-17 June 2024 *R6500pp.
ACCOMMODATION: Cathedral Peak Hotel.
COST (2 nights): *R6500pp. Includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, and morning and afternoon teas in the dining room; KZN Wildlife entrance permit; tourism levy; guided hike to Cathedral Peak with packed lunch. Excludes: Terrace meals; drinks.
*Same price for a single or shared room. The full amount is due by the 17th of May 2024 to reserve your spot.
TRANSPORT: Own drive or carpools available. Approx. 5 hours from Johannesburg.
CHECK-IN TIME: From 14:00. (Recommend you arrive by 17:00)
CHECK-OUT TIME: 10:00
HIKING OPTIONS: Sunday 1) Cathedral Peak Hiking Trail (guided) – tough hike, 10 hours, 10km. Some rock scrambles; require a high level of fitness; OR 2) Baboon Rock (guided) – easy to moderate 4.1km (3 ½ hrs); OR 3) Doreen Falls Hike (self-guide) – an easy 2.1km; OR 4) Sunset Walk (guided) (4 pm).
Monday: 1) Lake Jared (guided) – easy 1 hr hike; 2) Mushroom Rock Hike (guided) – easy to moderate 4.25 km (3 ½ hrs). Lunch at the hotel on Sunday before we head home!
DRESS CODE: Smart casual after 18:30 (no shorts or open shoes).
