Hey everybody here's the plan for the family day weekend 2016.

Friday evening Head to Mew Lake for the night. Saturday morning be at the West Gate Entrance for 9 for back country permits. Head to the Western Uplands Trail parking lot. Get hiking by 10:00 10:30. the sooner the better. we'll be taking the trail to Maggie Lake. Our first leg is 11 km to our camp for the first night.

Day two wake up have a quick breakfast break camp and get hiking by 9:00 9:30 Sunday morning. Our next leg is to hike to Romona Lake which is 13.5 km. Camp at Romona Lake.

Day three Monday morning have a quick breakfast Break camp. The end is in sight. The last leg of our journey will be 8.4 km and take us past Guskewau Lake and back to the Western Uplands parking lot. Ending our trip in Algonquin Provincial Park.

Difficulty level is high we will most likely need to break trail for the first half of the journey. The weather forecast is stating nights close to the -20's. So be prepared for the cold nights.

Costs: back country permits $12.43 per night.

Shared Gas: Every one's vehicle burns fuel at a different rate Split the cost fairly.

Mew lake is optional Each site at Mew Lake costs around $50 per night and can fit 3 tents and 6 people. So bunk up and save some money.
