Hi everyone. This Easter long weekend March 25th to the 26th I'm planning on doing the Blue diamond loop in Algonquin Provincial Park. This will be a fast pace venture. Bring only the essentials to keep your pack light. The plan is as fallows.

Friday at 9:00am be at the West Gate Entrance for permits and parking passes. Then rush to the Western Uplands Hiking Trail for 9:45am.

Depart the parking lot at 10:00-10:15am. We will be taking the rout to Maggie Lake then stopping at Ramona Lake or Guskewau Lake for the night.

If there is enough light I will do a bear hang demo for those who are interested.

Wake up at 7:30- 8:00am have a quick breakfast. Then back on the trail for 9:00.

We will make it back to the parking lot by 12:00 12:30pm.

Back country permits $12.43 per night. There is a $0.68 to cover PayPal fees.

Fuel: Everyone’s vehicle burns fuel at different rates. Split the cost fairly.

Camping at Mew Lake on Thursday night is optional. It will cost around $50 to $60 for one night there.
