Alright gang here's a great beginners classic. A trip to Franklin Island for educating the new folk about kayaking. Wet exits, wet entries, paddle strokes and maneuvering techniques.

The trip itself will lead us out of 138 Snug Harbour Road, Nobel ON. We will be traveling to the western side of Franklin. Where we will round Henrietta's point and find a suitable cove to set up camp. After tents are up a short theory sensation will commence. After that Q and A. then to the boats. for the practical "stuff".

Saturday: A 5 to 7 km paddle to site, theory, Q and A and wet exits.

Sunday: Review yesterdays events fallowed by wet exits, wet entries, paddle strokes and maneuvering techniques.

The idea is to give all you "newbies/ beginners" the confidence and self reliability to both enjoy and love one of the oldest modes of Canadian transportation. However this meet up does not automatically make you a intermediate level kayaker. There is still a mountain to learn.

After all the spills and thrills we break for lunch. Shortly after we must say goodbye to Franklin and head on back to Snug Harbour. Load the cars and make a B line for home.
