Denison Falls, Lake Superior

Short notice .. paddling on Lake Superior, near the Wawa area. 25-30 km each way. Not a beginner trip.

Aug 16, 2025. Camp at rest area about 5 min drive before the Wawa Goose.
Aug 17. Launch at government dock parking lot (near Naturally Superior outfitters) between 9-10am. I’ll be the one with the big yellow kayak on a white car.
Paddle roughly 25 km on Lake Superior to the Dog River. Set up camp.
Aug 18. Hike a few km to Denison Falls then back to camp.
Aug 19. Paddle back or stay another night depending on weather or whatever we want to do.
That’s my whole plan. Join for all of it or part of it but you need to be self sufficient. I have not checked the weather or the water conditions. Last time I tried this paddling trip I failed ..the water conditions were too rough and I ended up turning back and made a plan B.
