Lets start the 2026 with a nice "warm up" winter trip in Bruce National Park. Break lose from the post holiday slump, shoulder your backpack, and strap on your snowshoes.
# Itinerary:
Plan to meet at the P2 parking lot in Bruce National Park around 11AM.
We'll starting at the Cyprus Lake campground.
From there head to Horse Lake and onward to the Bruce trail.
Once on the Bruce trail we head South towards Stomhaven.
Along the way we'll be going in and out of the treeline as well as up and down in some slightly challenging areas.
Lots of views of the iconic Bruce coastline will be had along the way.
We should arrive at Stormhaven early afternoon. We will stay on the upper sites and make use of the tent pads. After finishing unpacking there should be time to explore, build snow furniture(snow permitting), or kick back and relax.
Come morning wake up with the crisp air all around and make some warm food. Then it's time to break camp and head back to to the cars and drive home.
