Backpacking, McKay's Harbour, Bruce Trail

Rumor has it there is an intriguing campsite on the Bruce Trail at McKay's Harbour halfway between Barrow Bay and Lion's Head. Pull out map 36 of your Bruce Trail Guide (23rd edition) and lets check it out.

Itinerary:

Saturday, Oct. 27, 6:00 am, carpool from Kitchener-Waterloo to Cemetary Rd Access Trail parking near Barrow Bay, a 2 1/2 hour drive. Hike 8 km north along the Bruce Trail to McKay's Harbour, setup camp and explore.

Sunday, continue north towards Lion's Head. After a curiosiy stop in Lion's Head retreat to the Ilse Hanel Side Trail and return to the parked car(s) a guesstimated 12 km the second day.
