Apologies - Part 2 - Apology to yourself

You do not need to have attended previous sessions to attend this one.

Building on the work we did to understand what makes a good apology, we will start to work on engaging with this through a discussion of apologising to ourselves. What does it mean to do this? Why would we want to do this? What might bring us to this point in our lives?

Getting more personal - are you at this point in your life? Have you been in the past? Do you want to get to it in the future?

Writing prompt: Write an apology to yourself. There will be a document outlining what makes a good apology available after the first session - use it to help you with this. This is not mandatory for attendance but a helpful exercise to attempt to do.

Near the end of our time together, we will have a short (10 minute) guided meditation on the topic of finding forgiveness.

This event is part of Hungry Mind's look at emotional intelligence and it can involve opening to vulnerability and parts that we might not often share publicly. We ask all attendees to be respectful and deeply kind to everyone else.
