Colin will take us through the features of GitLab's development cycle tools and tell us about how he has used them in his business. He will demonstrate of how deployment pipelines work and how he used them in a social media startup call TugHR. These piplines are powered by GitLab-Runners, which can be used in Gitlab's shared cloud runners or on your own dedicated hardware. Colin will give us some guidelines for how to choose your runners.
And, finally for the people who keep those pipelines fed, Colin will show how he has used the built-in Kanban boards and related automation to manage tasks.
The format will be fairly open and mid-talk question are welcome.
If you have only heard about Gitlab due to the recent Github/Microsoft acquisition this will be a great introduction to what Gitlab can do.
And if you do not care about Ruby and will never use Gitlab, Colin's presentation will still contain lessons about building software for any organization.
