👉 How to help patients with ALS using LLMs?
Halo is a Silently Controlled Language Generation product, seamlessly integrating Generative AI with electromyography (EMG) signals. The EMG controls the communication guided by an AI Persona, composed of textual representation of personalized, distinctive, and individualized data, tailored specifically to each user and context. By dynamically retrieving and generating information from the AI Persona in real-time, we can effectively condition the model's output through prompt engineering, ensuring the delivery of personalized and contextually appropriate responses for any given situation.

About the speakers

🗣️ Graduated in game development, Marcus has been working in programming since 2014 and specialized in Front-end development in 2018. In October 2023, he moved to Portugal and currently, he is part of a team dedicated to AI and innovation projects.

🗣️ Catarina Farinha is an AI Research Manager at Unbabel and a Product Lead at Center for Responsible AI. Catarina has a master in Biomedical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico and a PhD in Computational Psychiatry by Universidade de Lisboa. Since joining Unbabel, in 2019, she worked on evaluation of machine translation, being a co-author of the state-of-the-art metric COMET. Recently, Catarina has been bridging Research with Product.
