Around Kyoto part 5 (of 9) Kitayama East + Mt. Kurama

This hike is about 5-6 hours long. With elevations of about 900 - 1000 meters.

Meeting point is the bus stop at Demachiyanagi Station.

Meeting time is 08.45 and we start walking at 9.

The route
We take the bus to Todera bus stop and walk along the Eastern part of the Kitayama trail to Mt. Kurama.

If weather and energy permits, we'll go over Kurama to Kibune station to take the train back do Demachiyanagi station.

Entrance to climb Kurama is 300 yen. This is a separate cost.

Another option is to take the train back from Kurama station directly

Finishing point is Demachiyanagi station.

Yes, you can bring a guest. Signing up for one person is enough to participate. Guests also pay the 1000 yen.

What to wear?
Please wear closed shoes. Sneakers are fine for this hike. Dress lightly and comfortably. Wear a backpack. NO hand- or shoulder bags.
