We will be hosting a “Books & Journaling Workshop” on Saturday, June 6th at 3:00 PM🎉
Our guest speaker will be Susan Ito, author of I Would Meet You Anywhere, whom I met during my stay in San Francisco. The event will include a talk session with Susan followed by a journaling workshop.
Her book tells the story of her experiences as the daughter of a Japanese mother and an American father, adopted into a Japanese American family. It explores the emotional struggles she faced growing up and how she discovered her own path through the act of writing.
In recent years, themes such as family dynamics, parent–child relationships, and mindfulness have drawn increasing attention. For this event, we’ve created a space where you can experience the essence of Susan’s writing workshops, which she has been teaching for over 25 years. Through journaling, we hope this will be a quiet moment for you to reflect on your past and the days ahead.
The talk and workshop will be conducted in English, making it a great opportunity for those looking to practice speaking English. Participants from abroad who want to practice Japanese are also very welcome. Let’s enjoy cross‑cultural connection through books.
