Come and experience an authentic Zen meditation session at Kennin-ji Temple🧘
This is an open & free session held by one of the biggest temples in Kyoto!
1️⃣ Meeting point and time
We are meeting inside the temple at this point 👉 [TAP HERE]
Meeting time: 7 AM (you should be there)
- 7:00-7:15 Brief explanation about the session
- 7:15-7:20 Move inside the temple
- 7:30-9:00 The session
⚠️ Important Notice
- The meditation itself is open to the public by the temple so it might be crowded
- Please respect the time, if you didn't find us you can go in by yourself BUT do not try to enter after 7:30
2️⃣ Meditation Schedule
*20 minutes of meditation
- 5~10 minutes of rest (to stretch your legs)
*2nd meditation of 20 minutes - Sutra reading (10~20 minutes)
*Final remakes
The meditation will probably end earlier than planned!
⚠️ During the meditation you must remain silent and refrain from making any sounds !!!
📢 Remarks
- The meditation will be done while setting on the floor [see pic] so you will get numb 🙋
- The Sutra reading material will be given at the entrance (only in Hiragana & Katakana). if you can't read you can just listen 🙌
- 📵 Your phone must be on silent 🔕 and no vibration. also taking pictures is not allowed
3️⃣ After the meditation
After the meditation ends we will be asked to leave the temple.
This meetup will end there so you will be free to leave, but if you people want we can go grab some morning coffee and bread at a close by place ☕🥐

- 集合時間：午前 7:00（この時間までにお越しください）
*7:00-7:15 セッションについての簡単な説明 - 7:15-7:20 寺院内へ移動
*7:30-9:00 セッション
⚠️ 重要事項 - 座禅会自体はお寺が一般公開しているものなので、混雑する可能性があります。
*時間を厳守してください。 - もし私たちを見つけられなかった場合は、ご自身で中に入ることが可能ですが、7:30以降の入場は絶対にしないでください。
2️⃣ 座禅スケジュール
*座禅 20分
- 休憩 5〜10分（足を伸ばす時間）
*2回目の座禅 20分 - 読経（10〜20分）
*終わりの挨拶
※座禅会は予定より早く終わる場合もあります！

- 座禅は床に座って行います。足がしびれますのでご注意ください 🙋
*お経のテキストは入り口で
3️⃣ 座禅会のあと
座禅会が終わったら、お寺を退出することになります。
イベント自体はそこで終了となりますので、そのまま解散となりますが、もし希望者がいれば近くのお店でモーニングコーヒーやパンを食べに行きましょう ☕🥐
