Rust Talk: Cross Platform Apps

Details
Have you ever wondered if you could create an app that works on all platforms? Or how a program written in one language can call a function written in another language? This talk is for you!
The talk will focus on how cross platform apps can be written in Rust. I will be going over the core libraries and technologies involved. This will be framework agnostic so this will be helpful for anyone even if you choose to make your own framework or go without a framework.
After the talk, we will hang out and chat.
A general programming background is required, but only beginner level Rust is assumed.
Agenda
- 15 minutes open chat
- Introductions
- 1 hour talk
- Open chat
Note from our hosts C2 Kyoto:
Drinks (and sometimes food, Akiko's menu changes) will be available for purchase, all sales support the event.
Please be considerate of noise levels if outside, for our neighbors’ sake. Better to chat inside the building than out on the street. (We've never had complaints, but want to keep it that way!)
The event is being held at C2 Kyoto. It is a few blocks walk for Gojo Station or 14 minute walk north from Kyoto station.
