Let’s experience Kyoto’s Sky Lantern Festival together!

I’m heading to the Kyoto Tanabata Sky Lantern Festival on Friday, August 7, and thought it would be fun to enjoy the evening with others.

Whether you’re coming on your own, new to Kyoto, visiting the city, or simply looking to meet friendly people, you’re welcome to join! We’ll wander through the festival, grab some food, chat, take photos, and watch the lanterns rise together. There’s no strict schedule, just a relaxed evening enjoying one of Kyoto’s most beautiful summer events.

Meet: 5:15 PM at the main entrance to Joyo Gorigori Hill (Kyoto Prefectural Kizugawa Sports Park)

If you’re running late, just send a message through Meetup and we’ll figure out a place to meet inside.
