> Talk 1: Andreas Hasselberg - Spectra & Spectral: Type-Safe JSON in Erlang and Elixir
Working with external APIs often means handling unstructured JSON data. In this talk, I’ll introduce Spectra (Erlang) and Spectral (Elixir) - libraries that bring type safety to JSON using Erlang and Elixir types. I’ll show practical examples and discuss how these libraries compare to existing solutions.

In this talk I will try to convince you that Gleam is the best language for building web services in 2026, by talking about writing a markdown parser in Gleam and why I decided to do just that.
