## Who is Stellar Creative

Stellar Creative Labs ( Stellar Creative Lab) is a Animation Studio established in 2017 by industry veterans Hasmi Ferguson ( Hasmi Ferguson) and Bert Van Brande ( Bert Van Brande). Stellar's animation work can be seen in DreamWorks "Kung Fu Panda" , Seth Rogan's "Sausage Party" and Marvels "What if…?"

## Background & Context

## USD has been a foundational pipeline capability at Stellar Creative Labs shortly after the studio was founded. Their USD pipeline has enabled Stellar as a relatively small startup studio to produce feature animation productions with major studio partners and today to grow into a well-recognized Animation Studio supporting a global animation production team with partnerships with Netflix & Disney.

We are excited to hear from Stellar's Pipeline Supervisor, Fermi Perumal (Fermi Perumal) and Stellar's Co-Founder Bert Van Brande on their USD journey. Prior to joining Stellar, Fermi was a pipeline engineer and technical director at Sony Pictures ImageWorks and Bron Studios. Bert's background includes several years with Alias/Wavefront deploying pipelines throughout Europe and the middle east. Bert later moved to Sony Pictures ImageWorks at a CG and Pipeline Supervisor on "The Polar Express", "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" and "Alice in Wonderland".
