Tile Day:Watts Towers & Visit to Private Home of Tile Expert

Please join me for an afternoon visit and docent-led tour of the Watts Towers and Art Center. The famed sculpture consists of seventeen major sculptures constructed of structural steel, covered with mortar, and adorned with a mosaic of unique tiles, sea shells, and glass--all the work of one man, Simon Rodia.

Prior to our trip to the towers, we will visit the beautiful Spanish Colonial Revival home in Beverly Hills of a major collector of historic Malibu Potteries tile and mission-style furniture. Here we will enjoy a wine and hors d'oeuvres reception and talk by our gracious hostess, a respected tile expert. (Address supplied upon registration.)
