Hollywood boasts a plethora of beautiful homes and glamorous retreats where legends of the film industry lived, worked, and played. As the Hollywood movie industry took hold of the Los Angeles area, the stars and their directors cultivated a glamorous lifestyle through their homes, fashions, and cars. This richly illustrated slide lecture will document some of the most famous environs of the stars, from luxurious private homes to some of their most notorious hideaways. We'll also discuss the popular architectural styles and interiors of the 20s, 30s, and 40s, including Romantic Revivals and Art Deco.
