Morocco is a North African country known for its dramatic blend of Arab, Berber, and French influences, featuring vibrant cities, bustling medinas (city centers), colorful architecture, as well as Moroccan craft techniques, particularly Zellige (intricate mosaic tilework), carved plaster, and ornamental calligraphy. We’ll cover iconic structures such as mosques, palaces, and kasbahs (forts), examining Moroccan culture through its diverse influences, and view the impact upon Spanish Andalusian and Spanish Colonial design.
